StoryMe wins Best Instructional video 2021 with their animated wrestler
El Protector, the name of Audi Brussels’ newest addition Audi Brussels, won the BOCA award for Best Instructional/Demonstration Video on behalf of StoryMe. The video company also received nominations in the categories Best Standalone Video and Best Video Series.
Every year, ACC and Custo organise the Best Of Content Awards for the strongest Belgian productions. One of the categories is Best Instructional Video. The content is judged on originality, effectiveness and plan of approach.
Safety is a priority
The factory workers at Audi Brussels come from all over. This means that the safety rules must be made as clear as possible, preferably with as little language as possible. The solution had to be accessible, recognisable and snackable.
A two-dimensional character with character
Slapstick is the best way to convey a message without language. StoryMe's choice to combine animation with live footage was a hit. The Audi Brussels production environment was instantly recognisable and the characters were a success. By subsequently dividing the safety rules into standalone videos, everything could be used separately.

Not their first rodeo
StoryMe and Audi Brussels have worked together before. The animated character 'El Protector' was even based on the main character of a live video series called 'El Gigantor'.
Recently, the video company developed an animated teaser for the new Q8 e-tron, which Audi Brussels will produce from 2026 onwards.
